Fashion Collage Process
About
Incorporating hand made collages into my work started out as an experiment back in 2014. It was a way for me to experiment with fashion and my images. A way to bring something new to the industry. A way to bring texture and imperfection to a world obsessed with overly perfected Photoshop images. Photoshop was not used 100% on these images. Mainly to cleanup certain areas and to color correct or to include the makeup artists or hair stylist work. Everything else was shot and composited by hand and then scanned. It wasn’t until the year 2020 when the Pandemic lock down happened, that the concept of a “remote” shoot was born. during this time and after lock down, a concept of having a creative team in other locations contribute their talents towards my photography, to create something special, unique and to an unknowing eye, quite convincing images. I decide to showcase some before and after images of the process, because a lot of people have no idea about an images history and they just see it presented on the website.
